"I've got 10,000 things I have to do today!" "I have no idea what in the world I am doing!" "Why in the world did I just spend the whole weekend binge-watching Grace & Frankie when I have X, Y & Z to get done?" Can you relate?
I've always felt that being productive was an innate type of skill - that other people (but not me) were born that way. I felt overwhelmed and unorganized, and I could relate to every cartoon or meme about procrastination. Sort my sock drawer when I have a 10-page paper due in 3 days? Sign me up to sort!
In an effort to combat my lack of innate skill, I read every article and book on topics of productivity, organization, anti-procrastination that I could find. I gleaned some good tips and practices. What I found is that I was getting in my own way with how I was thinking about my skills and what I needed to do. "I've got 10,000 things I have to do today!" "I have no idea what in the world I am doing!" "Why in the world did I just spend the whole weekend binge-watching Grace & Frankie when I have X, Y & Z to get done?" These thoughts didn't and don't serve me (or the sense of accomplishment I get from feeling productive) well.
I love training. I love everything about it from determining the business needs and where the gaps lie to designing a course to meet those needs to working with subject experts as we make their training more learner-friendly. I decided to create an online course to help fill in one of my own gaps.
What I have discovered through the last year and a half is that I can make small, incremental adjustments to my thoughts and to how I do things. Essentially, I am adjusting my mindset. And I have learned to feel much more productive and organized. I will never be organizing guru Marie Kondo, and I am okay with that!
And so, without further ado, here is my Labor of Love: an online course called "Move the Dial on Your Productivity". I am sharing with you the small steps that I have used to become much more productive! I know that by implementing these steps in your lives that you, too, will move the dial on your productivity! Also, in light of all that is going on in the world, I would love to share this course with you for free until Sunday, March 29th. As long as you "purchase" the course by Sunday, you will be enrolled forever! If you don't have time to take it now, that's okay. It will be there forever!
